Detailed Description of Actual Services Provided by ICS
- To conduct a gap analysis in order to propose the priorities and key focus areas for research by the department
- To conduct a review of the existing human, financial and technological resources in the UNRA against the resources required to undertake research in the focus areas and make recommendations on bridging the capacity gap
- To develop a strategic framework for RDI activities in UNRA, to include a monitoring and evaluation framework for RDI activities and a research uptake and embedment strategy
- To develop an organizational structure to enable the RDI centre function as a centre of excellence in road and transport research aligned to organizational and national priorities.
- To prepare 5 and 10 year business and research & innovation plans for the RDI Centre including a plan for the transitional period before the start of operations of the RDI centre.
- To develop a skills enhancement plan in line with the 5 and 10 year business and research & innovation plans
- To develop quality assurance manuals and other documents for efficient research management and other internal controls of the RDI centre
